Acne Free Skin – Skin Washing Tips

Here are some good face washing tips I’ve come across in my acne research. These are recommended by a dermatologist with many years of experience. I hope they help you as much as they’ve helped me.

Only wash your face twice per day. Too much washing will just make your skin red and itchy. Use a mild soap.

If your skin in oily, use Ivory soap for it’s drying properties.

If your skin is dry, use Dove soap for it’s moisturizing properties.

If you can not use these soaps due to allergic reactions, you can use a non-soap alternative such as Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser, Aquanil or Cetaphil.

Use warm (not hot) water to get the soap wet.

Use your fingers or a soft cloth to apply the soap to your skin. Don’t use anything harsh like a loofah or brush. The soft washcloth is best. Only rub gently. Do not scrub. Use a circular motion.

Gently rinse your face with water to remove the soap. Make sure it is completely washed off.

Gently pat your skin to dry it. Don’t rub it. Just use a soft cotton towel for best results.

Using these tips will help you reach your goal of having acne free skin.
