Herbal Acne Remedies – How To Use Crushed Mint For Your Acne

Fresh mint can be effective as a gentle home remedy for acne. Mint has strong antibacterial properties. Peppermint is preferable to spearmint as a medicinal herb because it contains menthol. Menthol is a natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory.

Buy some fresh mint leaves from a supermarket and squeeze the juice from the leaves. If you can’t get enough juice out of the leaves, try mashing the leaves into a paste with water.

Apply this juice or paste to your skin and leave it on for up to 30 minutes. Then wash off gently with cool water and a soft washcloth.

The first time you try this, you could just leave it on for five minutes to see how you react to it. Do not continue this treatment if it irritates your skin.
